What Happens After You Reach Out
When you call or send a message, we aim to call you back within one business day. Most requests come in during the morning, and we usually return calls by late afternoon. If you reach out on a weekend, expect a callback Monday morning unless it is an emergency leak or failure, in which case we route those to our on-call line.
During that first call, we ask a few quick questions: where you are in Utah County, whether you are replacing an existing tank or starting fresh, and what prompted the call. A failing unit in the middle of a cold snap gets priority scheduling. A new build in Lehi or a planned upgrade in Orem gets booked for the next available assessment slot, usually within two to four days.
How a Sizing Visit Works
The on-site assessment takes about 45 minutes. We arrive, introduce ourselves, and head straight to the utility area. We test your water hardness on the spot because municipal averages do not tell the whole story, especially in Provo where hardness can swing block by block depending on whether you are on a well or the Jordan River system. We measure the inlet temperature at your coldest fixture, which matters more in January than in July. We check your gas meter capacity and venting path, and we look at where the unit will mount.
You do not need to follow us around. Most homeowners use the time to show us the current water heater, explain any complaints, and ask questions. We take notes, snap a few photos for our file, and explain what we found before we leave. You get a written estimate within 24 hours by email or text, whichever you prefer. The estimate includes the unit recommendation, venting plan, permit filing, and installation timeline. No hidden fees. No pressure to decide on the spot.
Have This Ready
You do not need to prep much, but a few items speed things up:
- A recent water bill — it confirms your service provider and can hint at flow patterns.
- The age and brand of your current water heater — if you are replacing one, this tells us what connections we are working with.
- Any past plumbing work or permits — if the previous owner upgraded the gas line or added a softener, we want to know.
- Your availability for install — permits in Provo and Orem typically inspect within a few days. Lehi can run longer in busy seasons. Knowing your preferred timeline helps us schedule around inspections.
Where We Work
We are based right here in Utah County and handle installs across Provo, Orem, Lehi, American Fork, Spanish Fork, and the foothill communities from Alpine to Mapleton. Whether you are in a 1970s ranch near State Street in Orem, a new build along the tech corridor in Lehi, or a home tucked against the eastern foothills, we know the local codes and water conditions.
If you are not sure whether your home is a good fit for tankless, or you just want a second opinion on a quote you already have, give us a call at (385) 243-2510. You can also read more about what is included in our installation and repair services.
